The system allows real-time, conversation-style engagement, preserving firsthand accounts in a way that feels immediate and personal—even beyond a person’s lifetime.

Now in his 80s, Takei shares deeply personal memories of his childhood in internment camps during World War II, offering insight into how those experiences shaped his identity and lifelong civic engagement.
