The Port of Los Angeles, West Harbor, and Councilmember Tim McOsker of Council District 15 brought the community together in downtown San Pedro for this year’s L.A. Harbor Holiday Boat Parade and winter celebration. Snow for the kids, local vendors, and a lively holiday market turned the waterfront into a busy gathering place.
After several challenging years, the night carried an extra sense of connection. Families who heard about the event online showed up for the tree lighting and the illuminated boats, while longtime residents said they were excited to finally experience the parade for the first time. Others came out of tradition, happy to spend an easy evening with neighbors.
As the decorated boats passed along the harbor, people shared their hope for the season: slow down, be kind, and enjoy time with family. With that, the L.A. Harbor Holiday Boat Parade once again proved itself a tradition worth keeping as the community looks ahead to the new year.
