Holiday Events Across Los Angeles: Waterfront Festival, Library Showcase, and Granada Hills Parade
Los Angeles is gearing up for a full weekend of holiday celebrations, starting with Holidays by the Sea at LA’s Waterfront on Saturday, December 6. The Port of Los Angeles and Councilmember Tim McOsker will welcome families for an evening filled with seasonal performances, including the San Pedro City Ballet, Victorian carolers, and a festive puppet show. Guests can enjoy snow, hot chocolate, churros, and photos with Santa before gathering for the community tree lighting and the LA Harbor Holiday Boat Parade.
The event begins at 4 PM, with details available at LAWaterfront.org.
On Sunday, December 7, the Los Angeles Public Library hosts its Creators in Residence Showcase at Central Library. Creator Ashley Walker will present “Threads of Los Angeles,” which reimagines city history through fashion, while creator Tien Nguyen will unveil displays crafted from the library’s menu archives to tell the story of neighborhoods through food. The showcase begins at 2 PM.
