A historic building in Los Angeles is getting a second life as a vibrant cultural hub. Tina Knowles recently shared her excitement about moving the WACO Theater Center into a permanent home that puts art directly into the hands of the community.

For Knowles, this mission is personal. A childhood mentor introduced her to the arts, a moment she says made her feel truly "seen and heard." Now, she is paying it forward. The center focuses on mentoring young people who lack access to creative opportunities, helping them build confidence and pride.

Knowles describes the restored building as a "beacon of pride" that will support local Black-owned businesses and celebrate the city's rich history. "I just cannot wait," Knowles said. "We just have to get started."
